Caleb Bird aka Biobird approached us December 2021 with the mission to pursue his eurorack dreams. Synthesizer New Zealand has provided him with multiple modules from Joranalogue and Mutable Instruments such as the Filter 8 and Mutable Instruments Veils.

The hunt for perfection doesn't stop there with Orbit 3 coming to New Zealand in January Caleb already knows where the journey will take him after he receives this shipment.

Joranalogue Audio Design is known for it's innovative modules packed in a small form factor. The build quality of these modules is next level and they are specifically made for (live) performance.

"Introducing voicing into the hardware space, so the sound design process isn't all in the box, along with live jamming. With the end goal, to be able to 'totu' around with musical ideas."

Short biography

Learning music from the age of 11, Caleb Bird aka Biobird, picked up various instruments and quickly found that making his own music was his passion. 2017 saw his first self released EP, the ‘Tribes’ EP. 2018 saw a debut solo album self-release ‘Balance’ a mixture of gashy dubstep, classic deep dubstep, drum and bass, house, jazzy numbers and all sorts of weird and wonderful inbetweens. Later that year he signed his first EP, 'Counter Productive', to Section 8 Recordings. Since then he has released three EP's and one album with Section 8 Recordings, along with a single release on Anonymous Recordings. Caleb has been steadily growing his reputation as one of New Zealand's most unique and creative up and coming bass music producers over the last 5 years.
