Have you ever wondered what might happen if you receive a faulty module? Or what happens if your module stops working after you've owned it for a while.

Most important to know is that you are covered under the Consumers Guarantees Act. Manufacturers’ warranties (also called express guarantees) guarantee that the maker of a product will repair or replace faulty products for a set period.

Manufacturers do not have to provide a written warranty with their products. But if they do, they must meet the terms and conditions of the warranty as well as all their obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

If you encounter an issue with your modular synthesizer equipment, we can act on your behalf to get your product repaired but most manufacturers will want to talk to you directly. The reason being that this is the easiest way for them to do any remote and off-site trouble shooting. However not all problems can be fixed over the phone or email. The good news is that most of the manufacturers out there have great policies when it comes to Warranty.

As an exemplary candidate take Joranalogue Audio Design, who offers a 3-year manufacturer's warranty with worldwide shipping on all of their modules bought new through our store, which they believe is in the interest of the customer, us as the dealer and brand identity.

For them the decision was easy because unfortunately, they have found that whenever a user or service centre tries to repair or modify any of their modules, there's a good chance that it will be damaged in the process.

While in-field failures of Joranalogue Modules are very rare (well below 1 % of total units sold), sometimes, Murphy intervenes and a customer may encounter a problem.

In this case, the best thing to do is to is submitting your support request to [email protected]. The friendly chaps at Joranalogue Audio Design then take care of the rest from there, troubleshooting the issue as much as possible over email, and if further action is deemed necessary, they will offer you free UPS shipping of their module to and from the lab!

Please make sure you read the manual (RTFM) as not all brands have equal Warranty coverage. Most brands however, are pretty good because it will help them identify any issues and continual improvement to their research and development of for modules that we all love.
